ESKOM PROJECT CONTROLS METHODOLOGY

During 2015 Eskom entered into a contract with MWC*, through the Eskom Engineering Panel, for the development of an Integrated Project Controls Methodology based on earned value management principles that can be applied in an owner's environment, in accordance with the relevant best practices within the industry. This included the development of a Project Controls framework, procedures, standards and standards that integrate the application of the methodology with the Eskom tool set landscape.
It was also required to assist Eskom Subject Matter Experts with development of the process capability that included the setting up, monitoring and controlling with change control and close out of project controls.
MWC* has also delivered on the development of a 4 day fundamentals training course, aligned with the developed methodology that is registered at the Eskom Academy of Learning (EAL).
As the team lead for the project I hereby acknowledge MWC*, on behalf of Eskom EPMO, for successfully delivering on the agreed scope of work with their team of professionals.

Simplified Integrated Project Controls - Project Controls based on Earned Value Management Principles

There is currently very little help in the form of text books (specifically how to integrate scope, schedule and budgets…in detail) for that could assist Project Planners and Cost Controllers. The Authors of Simplified Integrated Project Controls has really simplified project controls for all. Assessing progress, measuring performance and establishing the true status of a project and is Truly Simplified with this Methodology.
One of the main reasons for Project teams working in silos and has always been because the project team members work on different WBS or Cost breakdown structures of the same Project. Working in silos do not assist Project Controls.
I would like to congratulate the Authors for simplifying integrated project controls for everyone. Its Project Controls made easy! I would truly like to give this Author 5 stars.
